ACTIVE NATURE SPACE

Constructed in 2018, the Active Nature Space features Romsey Ecotherapy Park’s historic oak tree.

​

With extensive native plantings as well as established, the aesthetics of the space invite you to explore further from its north western or south western entries.

 

The balancing logs, a 40 metre flying fox, basket swing and timber fort around the oak, make it difficult for children and adults alike to resist the urge to be 'active in nature' here.

 

The climbing forest, extending over 25 metres and up to 5 metres tall, is a challenging ropes course for all ages who dare!

Alternatively, to just relax in the hammock, on the logs or bespoke seats, or on a picnic rug is also a wonderful way to enjoy this special place in nature.

 

The Active Nature Space was funded by the Building Better Regions Fund (Federal Government) and Macedon Ranges Shire Council.

The Climbing Forest was funded by the Victorian State Government’s Pick My Project program. 

Seating adjacent to the Climbing Forest was funded by Freemasons Foundation Victoria.
